As our centre prepares to welcome practitioners from all walks of life, we’re seeking someone to help provide the ground of spiritual practice at Being Peace.

We envision someone who embodies the practice of mindfulness in their every action and interaction, with many years of practice experience in the Plum Village tradition. Someone who can sit with a troubled community member one moment, lead a meditation session the next, and later bring the resident community together for joyful activity. This is about weaving Plum Village practice into the daily life of the centre.

Help us Weave Community Connections

We’re seeking someone with a gift for building bridges; someone who can help us establish meaningful connections with our neighbours, welcome volunteers into our practice, and ensure our centre becomes a valued resource for all.

As our Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll design volunteer experiences that combine meaningful contribution with mindfulness practice, recruit and nurture a diverse community of helpers, and orchestrate events that open our doors wide to the surrounding community.

Caretaking Our Sacred Space

The buildings, pathways, and gardens of our Being Peace Centre aren’t merely structures, they’re vessels that will hold our collective practice.

As our Maintenance Services Contractor, you’ll deliver professional facility management services across our 50-acre site that support an atmosphere of tranquility essential for deep practice.

We invite practitioners in the Plum Village tradition to become founding members of our Resident Community. This is an invitation to live your practice deeply while helping to establish the foundation of a significant new Buddhist centre in the UK. 

As one of six initial community members, you’ll join us for eight months to two years, contributing your energy, skills, and presence to nurture both the physical space and the spiritual atmosphere of our centre.
