We are delighted to share a significant step forward in our journey to establish the Being Peace Practice Centre.
Yesterday evening, our Trustees and the vendors exchanged contracts for the purchase of Abenhall. This marks a joyful and historic moment: we are now on a confirmed and legally contracted pathway to full ownership of this amazing site.
This milestone follows a period of reflection, dedicated efforts of our delivery team, professional support, and careful due diligence.

Stepping into this new chapter, we look forward to working with you in the upcoming weeks and months to turn Thay’s vision for a practice centre into a living and breathing reality.
Reaching the incredible £1 million fundraising target has allowed us to secure Abenhall. Later this year, we will begin a new phase of smaller fundraising efforts – paramount to establish our centre on a secure and sustainable foundation. This will enable us to do all the necessary set-up to open this beautiful new offering to the world.
We also look forward to announcing opportunities for recruitment and community consultations in the coming weeks and months as we enter this exciting next phase.
